Technology: The being originally known as "COIL-735" is a tesla coil who was animated from magi-technical energy. Their body is powered by both electricity and magical energy, which means that both antitechnical and antimagical effects tend to cause intense distress and damage to them. The former often causes the energy within them to explode erratically, while the latter causes a dampening, lethargic effect on their body and mind.

This mix of both scientific and magical sources of energy also give Coil the ability to create magi-technical items by transfusing a small amount of energy into an object through a complex set of rituals that resemble a loose version of engineering. These objects have the appearance of mundane (if usually flashy) technology, but are able to harness magical effects.

Aside from creative quasi-scientific marvels, Coil is also able to harness their electricity in a more mundane fashion. The electricity that emits from them is just as capable of causing harm as mundane forms of it, and can be increased or decreased in power and frequency at will.

Common Magitech Gadgets:

• Stasis Containers: Small jars that preserve inanimate matter inside them in the same state as they were inserted. Useful for investigating volatile substances such as ectoplasm.
• Portals: Devices of various form that create dimensional holes that allow for the transport of objects (or people when large enough) from one area to another regardless of distance. Tends to be more reliable from the lab than to it.
• Emotion Lenses: A glasses-like device that interfaces with a system to display the entity's emotions. Coil wears one.

Personality: From when they awakened in the abandoned laboratory with no end, Coil was filled with the desire for knowledge that their forebearers once had. They show intense interest in the mechanics of systems both mundane and magical, often rattling on even when everyone else has became uninterested. Social issues aside, they try their best to encourage the visits and residence of strange beings, both out of goodwill and to try to see how they work.
